Talk to legislators about your library.

FRIENDS are part of a national network of library supporters.  Take a look at the ALTAFF advocacy resources for ways to communicate with law makers.

Find more resources on speaking to legislators at the American Library Association website.

NEW!  Is your legislator library friendly? Check out the American Library Association’s (ALA) 2009 Legislative Scorecards for the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives. The ALA provides the scorecard as a tool to ALA members for gauging their elected official’s support of library related legislation.  Click here to  find out if your legislator supports libraries.
